First Fridays – Danville Olympics
Let the game begin at Danville Olympics!
Teams compete in a rotation of mini tailgate challenges hosted by local groups,
all working their way up the leaderboard for prizes and bragging rights.

News Release March 9, 2026:
We declare the Games of Danville open, celebrating the 2026 Olympics of the modern era!
First Fridays in Downtown Danville welcomes the 2026 Danville Olympics as the first outdoor event of the season on Friday, April 3, from 5–8 PM. Bring a team of 2–5 friends or family members for an evening of FREE mini tailgate-style games, live music at Temple Plaza by Groovetown, food trucks, and refreshing brews!
Local businesses are stepping up as proud “event hosts,” bringing their most exciting and competitive mini games to Vermilion Street and transforming Downtown Danville into our very own Olympic Village. Teams of 2–5 will report to the check-in area—your official Athlete Credential Station—to receive a scorecard and a map of the event layout.
From there, the torch is in your hands.
Compete in as many mini events as possible to earn points, climb the leaderboard, and go for Danville gold. Every challenge conquered moves your team closer to the podium and the chance to claim grand prizes and ultimate Olympic bragging rights.
And for those who want to join the festivities without competing for medals, we’ll also offer several open-play exhibition games. No team required, just the spirit of fun and friendly competition.
Join us for the Danville Olympics on Friday, April 3, from 5–8 PM at Temple Plaza in Downtown Danville, IL!
