The Danville Dans are members of the wooden bat Prospect League (formerly the Central Illinois Collegiate League, est. 1963), and is comprised of top notch collegiate players from all over the country.
Over the past 25 years, 22 Dans have made major league baseball rosters, and they are joined by nearly 200 other Dans who have played at the professional level. The team registered 2 Olympians and 3 first-round draft picks.
Play begins in late May each year at historic Danville Stadium and ends no later than August 15.
