Opened in the spring of 2002, the museum is a near replica of the 1833 county courthouse where Abraham Lincoln practiced law from 1841-1859 and is listed on the National Registry of Historic Places. Â The museum includes a Lincoln/Lamon law office recreation, among other Lincoln memorabilia. Â The museum is housed on two floors (ADA accessible) and sits directly behind the Fithian Home.
- Fithian Home (National Register – Lincoln Site) Home of Dr. William Fithian, Civil War surgeon and personal friend of Abraham Lincoln. Lincoln gave a speech from the balcony of the home prior to his presidential run, and the bedroom Lincoln used on his visits remains as it was in the 1800s.
- Lamon House 1031 N. Logan Ave, Danville (127) 442-2922 – An 1840’s Greek Revival Cottage built by Joseph Lamon, cousin of Ward Hill Lamon, Abraham Lincoln’s law partner and bodyguard.
