Oscars Sunday Special Event at the Fischer Theatre

Join us at the Historic Fischer Theatre for a night of fun at our Oscar Night Viewing.

What better place to celebrate the 96th Oscars than in a 140-year-old theatre? This Theatre danced with the stars during the Golden Age of Hollywood (1930-1948). In 1929, “state of the art” motion picture equipment was added to the Historic Fischer Theatre and we began showing first-run films of today’s classics in this very theatre on that very stage. Think about the litany of Best Picture Nominees that graced the silver screen week after week. If you’re family is originally from the Danville Area there’s a good chance they sat in this picture house and watched a feature here.

If you love everything about the Oscars from the pageantry to the blubbering on-stage, this event is for you! Bring your friends, make a thing of it. We’ll provide some Charcuterie as well as some great cocktails and other drinks and snacks available for purchase.
