SUMMARY:First Fridays - Glow Downtown 5K
DESCRIPTION:The City of Danville is hosting the first Glow Downtown 5K in Downtown Danville on Friday\, March 4\, 2022!\n\nPre-race registration is from 5-6 PM in Temple Plaza.\nThis is where you will check in\, pick up your tshirt\, and get some glow paint or glow jewelry.\nRunners will gather between Walnut and Vermilion Street to begin the race at 6:30 PM.\nRunners will run through black-lit Downtown Danville and then north on Hazel street to Springhill Cemetery.  You’ll wind through the lantern-lit paths of the cemetery and then back to Downtown Danville to the finish line!  There will glowing\, music\, and fun at this nighttime run!\n\nRegistration is $12 and a tshirt is $18.\n100% of the proceeds will benefit The Survivor Resource Center which is relocating to Downtown Danville!\nThe mission of their organization is to help survivors heal after sexual assault\, offering support to survivors and their loved ones.\nThe last day to register with a tshirt is February 18th.\n\nInclement Weather Date:  Tentatively April 8\, 2022\nIn the case of snow or extremely cold temperatures\, we will plan on Friday\, April 8\, 2022 as a backup race day.\n\nThank you to our Sponsors:\nSpringhill Cemetery\nFirst Place Sponsors: Carle Health\, OSF Healthcare\, Aunt Martha’s Health and Wellness\, Hayley Siefert with KW Realty\nPartners: Pete Goodwin with Country Financial\, Christie Clinic\, Vermilion Advantage\, Watchfire\, and Thyssenkrupp Dynamic Components\nSupporters: Lima Bean Glassworks and Gifts\, Sweet Repeats\, Aqua Illinois\, and Amanda Galloway with Country Financial
