Start your wizarding journey at The Danville Public Library at 5:00. Park in their lot and wander into the world of Hogwarts. Don’t forget to grab a Potterfest map while you are there. Costumes are strongly encouraged!
Once you have graduated with honors and absorbed the wise words of Dumbledore, head down Diagon Alley (Vermilion Street) to take in the sights and venture over to Knockturn Alley (North Street) to shop for witchcraft and wizardry supplies. Stop at each place to search for the listed scavenger hunt items.
While you are on your journey enjoy some butterbeer, hand pies, and Slytherin soup along the way. See if you can find Hagrid in the Forbidden Forest or spot Professor Moody. Get your themed Potterfest photo taken and printed on the spot by Burt Co.
At 6:30 stop at Temple Plaza for a costume contest sponsored by The Commercial News.
Plan accordingly for The Prisoner of Azkaban at The Fischer Theatre at 7:00.
Turn in your completed scavenger hunt maps here before 8:00 to be entered into a prize drawing, sponsored by The City of Danville.
Potterfest After Hours will take place at Vermilion River Beer Company, The 610 Tap and Fatmans as each of the bars will represent a Hogwarts House Alumni Club.
It is going to be a truly magical night. No muggles allowed.
