DESCRIPTION:For those unfamiliar\, one of our owners has been doing this for 25 years and is bringing it home to us here at VRBC. Handed down to him from the Chairman of the Board himself\, the intent of the Rat Pack Christmas party is to gather together while gathering some gifts for a couple of great causes.\n\nFirst\, the Women’s Shelter at the Crosspoint at the Y. The shelter itself can use items such as toiletries\, bedding\, etc.\, but we always want the women and children of the shelter to enjoy some gifts from the heart.\n\nSecondly\, Food for the Children run by our friend Rose Gates. Child hunger is a reality here in our back yard and Rose has answered the call. Beginning as one individual sending a handful of students home with a backpack of food home for the weekend\, the cause has grown exponentially to provide services as a team throughout Vermilion County.\n\nA list of needs will be provided this week and posted here on the event page.\n\nWe can do so much good while simply enjoying each other’s company set to some fantastic music by our friend\, Chip McNeill and his jazz combo. Spending time with friends is always a good thing. Doing good work at the same time….well\, that’s just a bonus.\n\nNo matter what your belief\, everyone deserves a Christmas.\n\nSo bring a gift for someone who might otherwise not get one.\n\nThank you in advance\,\n-VRBC\n“It’s good cheer.”

DESCRIPTION:Roxy’s House is hosting our 3rd annual Magical Candyland Christmas presented by Chittick Family Eye Care! The event is on Saturday\, December 9th from 1-4pm with a quiet sensory hour preceeding the event from 12-1:00. \nEnjoy the sights\, smells\, and sounds of the playful side of Christmas as you enter the barn decked out for the season! Children can play on the 22 foot Christmas pirate ship and swing on indoor swings. Tour the therapy barn and see where animal-assisted therapy happens. Meet and feed our alpacas\, potbelly pigs and other animals. New this year is a life-sized gingerbread castle\, gingerbread house and candyland room. Gourmet vendors will provide delicious treats available for purchase. Decorate a wooden gingerbread craft. Over 30 trees and wreaths will decorate the barn. \nA festive Christmas parade filled with silly characters and led by live alpacas will march through the barn. Santa follows the parade and leads us in the Santa Dance Party. Join in dancing with the boogie woogie Santa and his elves. Enjoy a complimentary hot chocolate in the warm and cozy Santa house with Mrs. Claus. Santa visits are available between parade and dance parties. \nCost for Entry: $10.00 age 2 and up. Tickets are available at the door. Tickets only available at the door.
