Clarence takes George on a journey around town\, showing him what the world would be like if he never existed\, and if none of his good deeds transpired. \n​ \nThis story is told by an ensemble cast\, retelling it as a radio broadcast in 1945. The stage is set as a radio studio and the audience becomes the studio audience. Actors tell the story together through their voices and foley sound effects. \n​ \n

DESCRIPTION:For those unfamiliar\, one of our owners has been doing this for 25 years and is bringing it home to us here at VRBC. Handed down to him from the Chairman of the Board himself\, the intent of the Rat Pack Christmas party is to gather together while gathering some gifts for a couple of great causes.\n\nFirst\, the Women’s Shelter at the Crosspoint Human Services. The shelter itself can use items such as toiletries\, bedding\, etc.\, but we always want the women and children of the shelter to enjoy some gifts from the heart.\n\nSecondly\, Food for the Children run by our friend Rose Gates. Child hunger is a reality here in our back yard and Rose has answered the call. Beginning as one individual sending a handful of students home with a backpack of food home for the weekend\, the cause has grown exponentially to provide services as a team throughout Vermilion County.\n\nA list of needs will be provided this week and posted here on the event page.\n\nWe can do so much good while simply enjoying each other’s company set to some fantastic music by our friend\, Chip McNeill and his jazz combo. Spending time with friends is always a good thing. Doing good work at the same time….well\, that’s just a bonus.\n\nNo matter what your belief\, everyone deserves a Christmas.\n\nSo bring a gift for someone who might otherwise not get one.\n\nThank you in advance\,\n-VRBC\n“It’s good cheer.”
