Plus\, we’ve had so much rain this year that some varieties have been a little slow to ripen\, but everything is moving along. We appreciate your help. The more help\, the faster we can get it all harvested. \n  \nWe will start August 15 and should last approximately through August 30th. Extended picking dates will be September 5 & 6 and September 12 & 13. Please invite friends and family to help us get through this Harvest. The more the merrier! \n  \nWe invite YOU to be part of our Purple Finger Club (PFC) and help pick grapes. Just imagine next year around this time enjoying the fruits of your labor as you sip on this year’s vintage. \n  \nWhat do you think\, are you in…. In addition to getting Purple Fingers\, you will enjoy:  \n  \n·     Discounts (up to 25%) on wine(to go only)\, and many gift shop items. We do recommend they be at least 5 foot tall. As their adult\, you decide. \n·     We provide the picking shears\, bug spray\, sunscreen\, and instructions. \n·     We also provide snacks\, a light lunch\, plenty of water & other beverages. \n·     RSVP for the dates (listed above) along with a phone number. If you can’t make the date\, please let us know as soon as you can by emailing us at janette@sleepycreekvineyards.com. \n·     Show up on your sign up date(s) between 7:30 – 7:45 AM and check-in. Orientation starts at 8 AM. \n·     Wear comfortable clothing. DESCRIPTION:Summer Market Season 2026 \nEvery Saturday from May 16 – October 3\, 2026 \n8 AM – Noon \nThe Danville Farmers Market will open its 2026 summer season on Saturday\, May 16\, bringing local produce\, handmade goods\, and community activities back to the city each weekend through the early fall. \nThe market will operate every Saturday from May 16 through Oct. 3\, 2026\, from 8 a.m. to noon. It will be located at 2721 N. Vermilion St. in Danville\, in the former Kmart parking lot/the DIY Storage lot. \n75+ local vendors are expected to participate throughout the season. Shoppers will find a wide range of products including fresh seasonal produce\, baked goods\, honey\, handmade crafts\, and other locally produced items. As the growing season progresses\, vendors will continue adding new fruits\, vegetables\, and specialty products. \nThe market has several new additions for the 2026 season to enhance the visitor experience. These include themed market days\, live music\, and a new shaded Rest Spot Area where visitors can sit\, relax\, cool down with water\, and visit with friends while enjoying the market atmosphere. \nThe Market has several programs designed to support both shoppers and vendors. \nThe market’s Loyalty Rewards Program allows shoppers to receive $2 in Farmers Market Bucks when they spend $20 with a vendor. The Farmers Market Bucks can then be used with any vendor at the market. \nThe Danville Farmers Market also accepts benefits through the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP) via the LINK program. Through this program\, shoppers receive additional incentives to help stretch their food budgets.   For instance\, for every $10 in LINK benefits used\, shoppers receive $10 in tokens and $10 in vouchers. The more help\, the faster we can get it all harvested. \n  \nWe will start August 15 and should last approximately through August 30th. Extended picking dates will be September 5 & 6 and September 12 & 13. Please invite friends and family to help us get through this Harvest. DESCRIPTION:Summer Market Season 2026 \nEvery Saturday from May 16 – October 3\, 2026 \n8 AM – Noon \nThe Danville Farmers Market will open its 2026 summer season on Saturday\, May 16\, bringing local produce\, handmade goods\, and community activities back to the city each weekend through the early fall. \nThe market will operate every Saturday from May 16 through Oct. 3\, 2026\, from 8 a.m. to noon. It will be located at 2721 N. Vermilion St. in Danville\, in the former Kmart parking lot/the DIY Storage lot. \n75+ local vendors are expected to participate throughout the season. Shoppers will find a wide range of products including fresh seasonal produce\, baked goods\, honey\, handmade crafts\, and other locally produced items. As the growing season progresses\, vendors will continue adding new fruits\, vegetables\, and specialty products. \nThe market has several new additions for the 2026 season to enhance the visitor experience. These include themed market days\, live music\, and a new shaded Rest Spot Area where visitors can sit\, relax\, cool down with water\, and visit with friends while enjoying the market atmosphere. \nThe Market has several programs designed to support both shoppers and vendors. \nThe market’s Loyalty Rewards Program allows shoppers to receive $2 in Farmers Market Bucks when they spend $20 with a vendor. The Farmers Market Bucks can then be used with any vendor at the market. \nThe Danville Farmers Market also accepts benefits through the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP) via the LINK program. Through this program\, shoppers receive additional incentives to help stretch their food budgets.   For instance\, for every $10 in LINK benefits used\, shoppers receive $10 in tokens and $10 in vouchers.
