Presentation of the Lincoln Birthday Card awards will begin at 3:00 PM. \nThe Fithian Home will also be open for viewing during the open house\, and there is no admission charge for either building. SUMMARY:Vermilion County War Museum observes Veterans Day
DESCRIPTION:The Vermilion County War Museum will have free admission on Nov. 11 and Nov. 12. \nThere will be special displays highlighting particular artifacts from the museum and private collections from each era of American History. \nVisitors may take a selfguided tour or be part of a group tour led by museum volunteers. Hours are noon to 4 p.m. on Friday and 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Saturday. \nMore than 60\,000 artifacts are on display at the museum which is located at 307 N. Vermilion St. in Danville\, in the historic Carnegie Library Building.

DESCRIPTION:After two long years\, (due to Covid restrictions) we are back!!!\nThe Danville Area Community College Technology Division will host the 14th Annual Car & Truck Show on Saturday\, May 28\, 2022\, in the Technology Center Parking Lot at DACC.\nThis car show continues to be graciously sponsored by the Central Illinois Mustang Club.\n\nRegistration is from 9AM-11AM for a fee of $10. Trophies at 3PM. The show is open to all makes and models of cars and trucks. Free for spectators!\n\nDash plaques will be given to the first 100 entries. Additional award categories include:\n• Top 25 Cars\n• Top 20 Trucks\n• Top 5 Youth (ages 16-21)\n• DACC Students’ Choice\n\nNo Dyno this year.\n\nThe Car Show will be held rain or shine. We had roughly 140 vehicles last time\, let’s see if we can top that!
