DESCRIPTION:Summer Market Season 2026 \nEvery Saturday from May 16 – October 3\, 2026 \n8 AM – Noon \nThe Danville Farmers Market will open its 2026 summer season on Saturday\, May 16\, bringing local produce\, handmade goods\, and community activities back to the city each weekend through the early fall. \nThe market will operate every Saturday from May 16 through Oct. 3\, 2026\, from 8 a.m. to noon. It will be located at 2721 N. Vermilion St. in Danville\, in the former Kmart parking lot/the DIY Storage lot. \n75+ local vendors are expected to participate throughout the season. Shoppers will find a wide range of products including fresh seasonal produce\, baked goods\, honey\, handmade crafts\, and other locally produced items. As the growing season progresses\, vendors will continue adding new fruits\, vegetables\, and specialty products. \nThe market has several new additions for the 2026 season to enhance the visitor experience. These include themed market days\, live music\, and a new shaded Rest Spot Area where visitors can sit\, relax\, cool down with water\, and visit with friends while enjoying the market atmosphere. \nThe Market has several programs designed to support both shoppers and vendors. \nThe market’s Loyalty Rewards Program allows shoppers to receive $2 in Farmers Market Bucks when they spend $20 with a vendor. The Farmers Market Bucks can then be used with any vendor at the market. \nThe Danville Farmers Market also accepts benefits through the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP) via the LINK program. Through this program\, shoppers receive additional incentives to help stretch their food budgets.   For instance\, for every $10 in LINK benefits used\, shoppers receive $10 in tokens and $10 in vouchers. He was a champion for his neighborhood\, a tireless volunteer\, and an advocate for those who needed a voice. DESCRIPTION:The Vermilion County Museum Society will open The Lamon House the first Sunday of each month from May through October from 1:30 p.m. to 4:30 p.m.\, with Becky and Alan Woodrum portraying Melissa Beckwith Lamon and Hiram Beckwith. \nThe Lamon House was built by Joseph B. and Melissa Beckwith Lamon around 1847. \nThe home\, which originally only had four main rooms\, is split log construction under clapboard. \nOriginally located at 302 W. North St.\, the house was moved to Lincoln Park in 1984. \nThere is no charge to tour the Lamon House\, however museum staff said donations are always accepted and can be given at the end of the tour. \nAdditional tour times will be announced on the Vermilion County Museum’s Facebook page throughout the season. \nFor more information\, call the museum at 217-442-2922 or visit www.vermilioncountymuseum.org  \nhttps://vermilioncountymuseum.org/lamon-house/ \n
